Jose Mourinho has expressed his interest to bring Benfica defender, Fabio Coentrao to Real Madrid, and wanted to maintain Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain to build a new era at Real Madrid.

The Portuguese coach has decided to speak out after a fast talking to the media, in which he praised all-round ability of 23-year-old defender.

Coentrao has often been linked with several top European clubs, including Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Bayern Munich. Regarding interest in these clubs, Mourinho thinks kepindahanya to the Bernabeu would be ideal for the Portugal international.

“He was a great player. I loved it for its flexibility, because it can play in all sorts of positions. The player seemed to be always accepted, and more so for a kind of Madrid club,” Mourinho said on the radio Cadena Ser.
